Radio stations in the UK are regulated by law. The regulator is Ofcom, which awards licences and regulates content in accordance with the Broadcast Code.
Wiltshire's GWR FM works to operate within all of the conditions of its licence and the Code and welcomes comments about its output from listeners and advertisers.

Operational:
Wiltshire's GWR FM broadcasts to Swindon and surrounding areas on 97.2 FM, West Wiltshire and the surrounding area on 102.2 FM and 96.5 FM in Marlborough. GWR FM also broadcasts online at gwrfm.co.uk and on the Swindon & Wiltshire DAB Digital Radio Multiplexes.

News:
GWR FM broadcasts news bulletins on the half-hour between 0600 to 0900 and 1600 to 1800. News bulletins run hourly from 0900 to 1600 on weekdays. These bulletins contain a mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news. At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on GWR FM between 0700 and 1300. National bulletins run between 1300 to 1900 on Saturdays and 1300 to 1600 on Sundays. Additionally, national bulletins are broadcast from 2200 through until 0500 seven days a week.

Programme Automation on GWR FM:
Monday to Friday from 1 till 2pm GWR is automated.
Local Programming on GWR FM:
All of GWR FM's weekday daytime output (0600-1000 and 1300 - 1900) and peak time weekend output (0800-1200 Saturday, 0800-1200 Sunday) is produced and presented from our local studios.
Phillipa Collins Weekdays 1000 - 1300 is produced at studios owned and operated by GWR FM's parent company GCap Media plc.
Off peak programming - Kevin Hughes, Wind Down Zone, Dan Wood & Andy Henley, Entertainment Weekly, Mark Dennison, Jeremy Kyle, Party Anthems, hit40uk, Jo Russell and Jason Donovan, is produced at various studios, owned and operated by GWR FM's parent company GCap Media plc.
Complaints:

Local Events/Charity Support:
GWR FM operates its own registered charity, GWR Kids. It is tasked with raising money to help improve the lives of young people within the GWR FM broadcast area. For more details please click on the link below.
In December 2007 we ran our 25th GWR FM Christmas Appeal for GWR Kids and the 17 hour live auction raised over £51,000 for the charity.
GWR FM is proud to have supported many local events in 2007 and 2008, including Race for Life, the Swindon Half Marathon, the Crimestoppers Family Fun Day at Bowood, and the Emergency Services Show in Hullavington.
GWR FM also proudly supported the fireworks in Swindon, Devizes and Cirencester, and the Christmas Lights in Swindon, Old Town, Trowbridge, Devizes and Chippenham.
We support these events by attending them with our presenters and Thunders, giving on-air coverage, and offering online coverage including event details, listener comments and feedback, photos and video footage.
